Visual Art – Minneapolis
Joe Kral is an artist and designer living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His work focuses on image, typography, color, and texture. His painting are made on wood panels or plywood and are built up in layers. The first step is applying paper from old books, magazines, maps and newspapers that I have collected over the years. Then a layer of spray paint and ink are applied. Next is applying the black image transfer via liquid matte medium. And finally, the piece is coated with a high-gloss epoxy resin clear coat to finish off the piece.
