Visual Art – Phoenix

I've always been drawn to the artist's world but I never considered myself one, until now. I started painting a year ago as a form of therapy after complications of an auto immune disease. It forced me to sit and look into my shadow self and that of our world. Once I started, fueled by a manic desire to create and steroids (which I was taking for my illness). I painted almost 50 paintings in 30 days. Each painting dealt with the emotions and energy that had been building inside of me for the last 38 years. I've had no training or any real knowledge of what art is but I know what I create comes from a very raw, real, place and has healed me more than anything else could have.
