Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Jennifer D’Souza spends her free time at her home studio where she explores the endless possibilities of painting abstract expressions. She discovered her passion for painting on a whim just a few years ago after being encouraged to use it as a tool to manage anxiety. She is a self-taught artist who is guided by her own curiosity, finding the freedom to break rules and be her truest self. Her expressions are enhanced by the use of various mediums creating both texture and depth to her acrylic and oil paintings. Over time she has found a niche as an expressionist, being guided by emotions and encouraged by music. Many of her paintings begin with an idea, but are rarely planned, providing a unique and original piece of work as the paintings evolve.
