Visual Art – Jersey City

I came from a family of artists of several different mediums. Living in the same area as most of my relatives, I grew up having many artistic influences. Painters, photographers, cooks, lace makers, writers, carpenters, graphic designers, wood carvers, landscapers, farmers, seamstresses, and creative minds. I choose painting and drawing as my main medium but my exposure to so many different crafts kept my interests open to just about anything. I went Raritan Valley Community college first and then Transferred to Mason Gross School of the Arts and recived my B.F.A. with a focus in drawing. A year and a half later i went back to Raritan Valley to get an A.V.A. in Graphic Design. During my college career I worked as a custom framer which i still do to this day. After college was over i landed a Tattoo apprenticeship and a full time position at a greeting card company as a graphic artist. Now I am a full time tattoo artist at Skin Alternative tattoo studio. Aside from my tattoos, i do abstract photography, and graphic art on the side. For fun, i sew, garden, do special effects make up, and jewelry making.
