Forest Beads by Tamar Meir

Accessories – Salt Lake City

I started making jewelry at the age of 32 after suffering a miscarriage in my fourth month of pregnancy with who was to be our second child (we thankfully already had a healthy 1-year old son). I turned to jewelry as a way to take my mind off of recent events, and kept surprising myself at the things I was able to create with what I thought were two very uncreative hands. I enrolled in a silver smith\'s course and studied under renowned Israeli jewelry designer, Nurit Dagan Ovadia - a phenomenal artist, teacher and friend (you can view her work by visiting http://www.ndojewellery.com). Several miscarriages later, I was happily delivered of our daughter, and have been making jewelry ever since!
