Garret Lyon

Music – Brisbane

Garret Lyon was born and raised in Rockhampton central Queensland. He began singing & dancing after mimicing his favourite artists on the TV. He grew up listening to 90\'S R&B as well as Pop and Country music. After he graduated high school he was accepted into the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA) in Brisbane where he graduated with his dvanced Diploma in Music. During his studies Garret choreograohed and co-hosted an indigenous children’s dance program called 'Move It Mob Style' on NITV and ABC kids and also performed the national anthem at two indigenous all stars games in both aboriginal language and English. Since graduating Garret has been performing extensivly in Brisbane, Austraia & also overseas. His work includes playing the lead role of Aladdin in \"Walt Disney\'s Aladdin: The Musical\" in Jakarta, Indonesia and a spotlight performer in Oscar Theatre Companies \"Boy&Girl; 1, 2 and 3 at Brisbane’s Powerhouse Theatre and the Tivoli , opening for TLC on their first Australian tour, releasing two music videos, working and performing with Bernard Fanning. recently Garret has relocated to Melbourne where he released his new single 'Missed Out on Love' along with his debut EP "Belong To You" which is now available on all online music stores.
