Beauty – Austin
I'm a local austinite born and raised and proud about it! I began my hair artistry journey in the summer of 2008 at Baldwin beauty school. At the beginning of my career I focused on women's hair and make up. Through that passion I was granted several opportunities to explore my creative eye by collaborating in fashion shows and photo shoots. Though that field was extremely challenging and rewarding I eventually made my way into mens hair. I feel at this moment im thriving most in this area of the industry and have really enjoyed the creativity behind it. Something this career has given me aside from the feeling of granting self expression to many, I've been able to give back to the community as well. Because of a former boss and dear friend, I was shown how amazing it feels to give back using the craft I've spent years perfecting by servicing haircuts for the homeless. Money comes and goes but when you can provide someone a service from the heart, something that is purely genuine to another, is a source of energy that is powerful and uplifting for all parties. We as stylist are so lucky that we get to physically touch someone and make them feel better about who they are or who they want to be. My mission through my craft is to spread love and to help us build love in ourselves. #loveismyreligion
