Visual Art – Sydney

After growing up in northern NSW, in a country town called Bellingen, it was inevitable to have a vivid imagination, creative flare and sense of adventure. At 6yrs I begged Mum to take me to watercolour lessons. Years later my HSC artworks, 'Sensuous Perspectives' were selected for ArtExpress and I was awarded 'Most Promising Artist'. It was only normal for a small town country girl to be ecstatic to receive this award and to have artworks viewed in the stylish and iconic windows of David Jones, Sydney CBD. My obsession for art, interiors, fashion and design, led me to the big smoke where I studied Graphic Design on a 2yr Scholarship. I continued to paint and exhibit my artwork. Lucky to have a successful career as an Art Director, in 2011, I co-founded a Sydney based design studio Frankie & Boyd (recently opening an office in Kelowna, Canada). I currently live, paint and design in beautiful Bronte. I especially love travelling back to Spain, absorbing my husband's rich culture - a constant sea of inspiration for my artwork. If I am not by the beach or at my parents' farm, I am looking to find the next best slopes to snowboard.
