Performing Art – Cleveland
Expedition Dance, directed by Lauren Holler, was formed in the summer of 2016 as a project-based dance company comprised of dance artists from areas surrounding the Cuyahoga Valley. Expedition Dance has showcased work in both Cleveland and Columbus. Credits include Ingenuity Fest 2016, Cleveland Dance Fest 2017 & 2018, and Ten Tiny Dances Columbus.
As a company, Expedition Dance has three main focuses in our creative work:
• Expedition Dance uses dance as a vehicle for social change by teaching, challenging, and empowering audiences through movement.
• Expedition Dance is a journey, responding to the world we live in through creative processes. We learn from our community when creating work, and in exchange, we hope that our community gains something from what we offer--something for something!
• True to our name, Expedition Dance strives to present work in unique formats and spaces.
