Photography – Melbourne
Emmie Guy is a freelance photographer located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. Starting up her business in 2014 she has developed her shooting style substantially into something that is unique. Being a dancer since the age of four, Emmie has always been intrigued by the movement of dance as well as the artistry behind capturing movement. Being a dancer herself has it's advantages. Knowledge of terminology helps Emmie to clearly communicate with the dancer allowing her to best showcase strengths. A key indicator to taking a great dance image is knowing which precise moment a movement is at its peak.
It's not all about dance of course. Emmie has always had a keen interest in art and fashion. Having studied as an arts major at Deakin University, Emmie has always loved to incorporate her artistic skills in her photographic projects. Whether it be experimenting with painting over photo prints or hand making an outfit for a fashion shoot; she is always trying to push creative boundaries.
This year, Emmie has deferred from university before beginning her dream course, a Bachelor of Arts (Photography) course at RMIT in 2018. Having a year to spare, Emmie has worked very hard to expand her portfolio working on many collaborations with other creatives. One makeup artist in particular expressed that she loves working with Emmie as she knows she's always going to get a challenging, unique and colourful outcome.
Emmie's dream- to go on a world wide photoshoot, taking amazing themed fashion photographs in the most beautiful places that mother nature has to offer.
