Visual Art – Calgary

Emily Aman is a 25 year old contemporary artist from Kitscoty, Alberta. Inspired by her aunt, she decided to take up jewelry making in her spare time. She now attends the Alberta College of Art + Design in Calgary, currently in the second year of her Jewelry and Metalsmithing Degree. She invests her time into designing contemporary pieces of varying origin, size and inspiration through a number of mediums such as copper, brass, sterling silver and fine silver. Originally, stone set jewelry and rings were the focus of her degree, however recently she's discovered a new-found love for the sculptural and novelty aspect behind metalsmithing and looks to incorporate the two together in future works.
