Eduardo Barrera-Caro

Fashion – Los Angeles

My name is Eduardo Barrera-Caro, but you can call me EDDY. I was named after my father because I was born on his birthday (May 20). As a child, I grew up listening to all these great stories about my great-grandfather who was a Tailor in his hay day & how he used to make suits & gowns for his family, neighbors, and politicians of his time. With that being said, I grew up with that in the back of my mind & developed a fond of putting an outfit together. I inadvertently went onto Communications & Public Relations right after high school. Because my heart wasn’t there, I decided to go back to school. It was until 2007 that I decided to further explore & pursue a career in Fashion. I recently graduated from Long Beach City College where I received my degrees in Fashion Design and Merchandising. While attending school, I interned at House of Petro Zillia (featured on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills & Styl'D) where I met & worked with my mentor Nony Tochterman. I would describe my work as femme fatale catwoman. I draw my inspiration from cartoon/movie female villains & the occasional singer/actress, such as Catwoman, Bayonetta, & Nicole Scherzinger. What I LOVE the most about what I do, is the heavy creative aspect and the very minimal limits (if any). I go to sleep thinking about Fashion and wake up continuing where I left off.
