Visual Art – Portland

Artist Statement I moved to Oregon from Moses Lake,WA in 2005 and have found the inspiration for my paintings in all the natural beauty I have grown up around being a north westerner. I began Painting the summer of 2008 because of a challenge of loved ones. Primarily self-taught, but have also enrolled myself at the Art instruction school early 2009 to better my techniques. My art pieces convey simplicity, strength, quiet energy and balanced forces. The longer you look at some pieces the more you see. The layers of life are the metaphors for my art. I weave layers, colors, shapes and texture into designs that softly but strongly proclaim balance, harmony and integration. In the search for beauty and artistic expression, consider the timeless genre of oil paintings. This art arises from pieces that warp the organic connections of the universe and the fundamental feeling of life itself. Oil is fundamental in the preservation and adornment of life. Thank you
