Music – Sydney

Dion is a Sydney born singer-songwriter, composer and educator to Brazilian/Italian parents. He has extensive experience in classical, choral music and opera, performing regularly with Opera Australia's Children's Chorus as a treble. His voice broke as he entered high school at Newtown Performing Arts in year 7, where his classical dominated palette began to loosen - there was so much more to explore. Having completed a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education at the University of New South Wales, Dion has begun educating as a casual music teacher in high schools (Tempe, Marrickville, Newtown PA), leading specialist workshops at The Arts Unit's Senior State Music Camp and Solo Vocal Camp. A new collaboration with the Australian Playwright and Lyricist Melvyn Morrow (co-lyricist of the hits Shout! and Dusty Springfield) has seen the creation of two original Australian musicals - Heaven, and, Dorian Gray Naked (Jan30-Feb16, '19, Limelight on Oxford) Discography: Purely Dion - a preservation of his treble voice 'Suddenly' - an album of originals Bordeaux (single) Falling Down ft Dobby (single) A comprehensive bio is available www.dioncondack.com
