Visual Art – Perth
Art has always been a part of my life, I knew at a young age it would be a relationship that would evolve and nourish me throughout life. I was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to Perth 8 years ago, and live and work in Fremantle, WA. I studied art through to university, majoring in drawing and painting, as well as completing my teaching degree at ECU. Art is a means to express that which often alludes words. Art grounds me and nourishes me. It helps us express our stories about what it is to be human. It is a vehicle to connect us as beings living this human experience.
This body of work deals with identity and vulnerability. It is about the quiet strength in vulnerability. It is about diving into the dark and light within ourselves and loving the whole being.
