My name is Daniel Quinonez. I am a self-taught artist. I create my work on Rusted Sheet Metal using Acrylics, Enamel, Spray Paint and anything that sticks. I grind and use the rust to create texture which I incorporate into my subject matter. I create my canvas on rusted sheet metal. A material perceived as waste and scrap now has a purpose. By use of color I give the corroded metal life. I express myself through this medium of decay and through the decay of its existence it develops new life. I am that new life full of inspiration and love. The inspiration for my subject matter has been drawn from my life’s experiences. Today I am grateful for the opportunity to follow my passion …. I have taken a path in a new direction. A life I once walked through oblivious and taken for granted, now fuels the fire to re-write my life and start over. I decided to be inspired by the life I have lived. I experiment, evolve, fail, try, laugh, cry, fight, love…. I experience every emotion through my artwork. I have become my work through creating. My life is my muse. I am an artist on this earth here to inspire that one person to realize that anything is possible and we can create our lives one day at a time.
