Creativity and imagination are born from necessity.
An expression, with details absent or elements broken, creates an impression that meets that need and poses different challenges upon the viewer that a literal representation would not. The viewer must fill in the missing information.
A work complete yet still unfinished, achieves a balance between that which is known and that which has yet to be realized. The process finds an equilibrium between enticing thought, invoking attention, and inciting exploration.
The viewer deserves to be part of the artistic process, and by establishing a framework for critical imagination, they are empowered to create and define what is missing by using the image as a guide for a uniquely personal narrative.
