ED G. GREEN

My name is Claudene Gordon, I was born in Jamaica and raised in Queens New York, not far from the fashion epicenter of the world. My passion for fashion began at an early age while watching my mother design and make clothes for my sisters and me. For those who know me personally, know that fashion has always been the highlight of my life! Somewhere along the way, I also fell in love with graphic design. Combining the two, I created a brand called Ed G. Green (edgy green). Ed G. Green gives me the opportunity to express myself and my ideas through fashion and graphic design. Each of my designs are an individual work of art that shares a story with the world. When I design, a tremendous amount of effort and detail goes into each of my graphics. Before I even begin sketching a design, I create a story for each graphic to convey. Whether it’s a story derived from the ideals of love, charity, healthy living, mother nature or the planets that surround us, it’s always important that my final graphic provides inspiration for me and others around me. Ed G. Green inspires individuals to see the effect and stress placed on mother nature by our everyday negative consumption and lifestyle. Most of my fabrics are made of 100% organic cotton and bamboo blends, and my graphics are designed to personify our vision of mother nature. Mother nature is the essence of life, love, growth, and peace. She is the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the fire we use to warm our homes. She is who we are, and as we destroy our environment by polluting, littering, wasting energy, etc., we only destroy ourselves.
