My artwork comes from a place of childlike desire and fantasy, full of the wish to do something great with this talent that God has given me. In my work I tell a story with each piece, bringing it to life with a Baroque-inspired style that takes you on a journey through my experiences while dreaming. As dreams often do, they start off very light and straightforward, becoming full of complex detail, sometimes even vague and abstract. I bring this feeling of progression into the works by using a variety of mixed media in my artwork.
The concept behind my artwork is to create a world that inspires people. I want the person to be totally immersed within not only the imagery but the story itself. I want people to feel that it’s their story and journey.
I have always wanted to go further, to see more, and to create more. The belief that something greater is out there inspires me. I truly feel that our spirits are drawn to certain things for a reason. The Dream never dies. Whether terrifying or inspiring, the Dream calls out to you, provoking you, pushing you to reach for it, to follow it to the Throne of success. It is a choice: keep the life of security and conformity, or travel into the darkness to find your awaiting paradise.
