Visual Art – New York - Brooklyn

Chezza Zoeller started out making collages as gifts, and at the behest of her friends, she decided to put focus into her collage art after many years designing jewelry. In high school in upstate New York, Chezza spent more time in the art room than in her other classes. She considers herself more of a pop artist who likes to create new from old, being a huge fan of renovation, rather than starting from scratch. Spending most of her adult in New York City, Chezza began her own femme-fronted DEVO cover band, opening up for bands like Le Tigre. Chezza has also appeared in several music videos for notable bands like Mercury Rev, has danced on stage for The Flaming Lips and has been photographed by two important David’s -- Lynch and LaChapelle; the former for his book, Dark Night of the Soul. Chezza is a yogini-in-training on a spiritual path who resides in Los Angeles where her collage work is focused on her obsession with color coupled with revealing the magical qualities of nature.
