Olivia Callender

Olivia Callender is an artist and recent graduate of SUNY Purchase where she received a BA in 2011 for MSA (media society & the arts) and photography studies. Her art reflects interest in the levels of control used in the photographic process, however her style varies from objective documentary to highly staged replications of hyper reality. Sociology, memory, race, and the language of visual symbols are themes that she explores through her work.
