Visual Art – Omaha

I have always needed to create to feel good in the world. I was aware of this since early childhood. That feeling within me has never been shaken even in times of great disappointment and struggle. In fact, art has saved my life many times. It is also important to me to keep learning and evolving as an artist and as a human. Perhaps that is why I hunger to experiment and be constantly challenged. This has lead to a very diverse art portfolio along with many rich life experiences. Art has been a catalyst for personal change, and has helped me develop deep relationships with nature and people. Art has given me wings as it has taken me all over the world. For example, I organized a solo art tour from Iowa to Alaska. Some gigs were planned, but the most interesting experiences came from taking that leap of faith.I spent three months on the road and was constantly reminded that if you do what you love AND work, you will be alright. Currently, I am the owner and operator of Irwin Artworks LLC. My specialty is mural work, but I also offer fine art, graphic design and sculpture services.I have a bachelors degree in studio art from Northland College. I am a published author. The two books are about my own experience with depression.I wrote and illustrated \"Conquering the Beast Within\" at age fourteen. It was a creative outlet that saved my life and has helped many others.
