Bxhemian Arts

Photography – Toronto

From a young age, the artist has always had an eccentric perspective and a fascination for alternative culture. Her ability to find beauty in things generally perceived otherwise has earned her the title of Bohemian. Since high school, her focus has been to pursue an artistic career, and in post-secondary continued studying fine arts and media in studio classrooms at Sheridan and Mohawk. The projection series was initially a concept experimented on in 2016 during her time at Mohawk. Inspiration for this idea stemmed from Swedish photographer Marthe Sobczak, and has evolved into an encyclopedia of imagery. The theme has attracted many fresh, avant garde models such as Rowan Margaret, Madison Whitworth, and Madeline McGhee, each of whom have injected their own, individual twist on the series. The project's intent is to appreciate each others differences. By complimenting the human body with images taken from nature, Bxhemian Arts hopes that the outside world will start to look at themselves in a different light, and understand that beauty comes in all forms.
