Burgandy Viscosi

Visual Art – Seattle

Native Texan Burgandy Viscosi, while in the Navy in 1999, was in a severe and life changing car accident. The experience opened her eyes and mind in ways she had never known before. During her six months of recovery she taught herself how to paint in the hopes of visually expressing this profound shift in consciousness. Since that time she has spent years creating hundreds of commissioned paintings, supporting herself as an artist while building skills and technique in her craft. Burgandy has come to a point in her career where she feels her paintbrush can finally formulate the paint into the ideas and expressions she has been waiting patiently to communicate. Her personal visionary paintings focus on the spiritual nature of sexuality, the precious nature of our resources, and the miraculous nature of life itself. The images have a common theme of unity, between male and female, religions, nature and technology, and most importantly the union between the physical body and Earth. Currently residing in the Pacific North West, Burgandy puts all of her energy and attention into being in the harmonious state of creation, knowing that symbiotically her creations will represent these intentions. They are her humble gift to life itself.
