Brave Julius

A distinctive guitarist whose songs range from psychedelic dreaminess to forcefully-driven rhythmic workouts and many points in between. Brave Julius is currently finishing recording the follow-up record in Portland, OR. Expected release is early 2012. BIO For the teen-aged Glenn Alexander, guitar was an addiction quickly adopted. He took a largely self-taught approach to his craft, pursuing music with sharply focused curiosity and a uniquely whimsical persistence. Influenced by a large swath of the world's musical landscape, Alexander explored a mesh of looped composition and improvisation rooted around his Martin acoustic. Homemade recordings of these explorations became the bedrock for Brave Julius, his first foray into collaborative work which fleshes out his compositions in clever and often startling ways.
