Visual Art – Salt Lake City

Most of my life, I have been addicted to the visual arts. Thanks to a trip to the bookstore with my mom, a journey began for me. I learned with crayons and chalk that I could express emotions far better than with words or other actions... I spent an entire childhood in gifted art classes. Picasso, C\'ezanne, Matisse, Manet, Monet... The list of influences goes on and on. I only began to paint with oil paints in the fall of 2006, after the death of my Stepfather. It was, at first, a way of rebellion... he never let me have those painting lessons I longed for in my youth. Painting then became therapeutic for me and helped me work through issues I had kept from myself for many years. I have learned over the years to surround myself with beautiful, wonderful, and creative things. Now, I only wish that others would do the same... I hope my work brings people to a great place in their lives. You should love the art you live with!
