Performing Art – Baltimore
BlueShift Dance is directed by Caitlin McAfee, who earned her MFA from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, England. The company seeks to start discussion about local, national, global, and universal social justice issues through unique modern dance performances. Topics tackled by the company so far have been Baltimore City food deserts, gun violence in schools, the tumultuous political environment in which we currently find ourselves, and devastation caused by natural disaster. Like the physics phenomenon of blue shift, we seek to "draw the universe closer."
