Ashley Hess, an emerging, self-taught singer/songwriter, is known for her positive and fun personality, with a unique sound to match. Based out of Provo, Utah, Hess is not your typical Utah artist. Growing up in Fremont, CA, Hess’s childhood household was saturated with the popular melodies of artists such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, etc. These classic artists have heavily influenced Hess’s newly discovered sound, a blend of R&B, soul and pop. Her love for music began at a very young age but her passion for writing and performing didn’t come until years later. After being introduced to the local music scene in Provo, Hess discovered a newfound desire to learn, write and play music. Within the past two years Hess has dropped two singles, released an album, competed as a finalist in the Final Four Stadium of Fire competition, was featured as an artist on Glenn Beck’s Christmas album, and has shared the stage with many accomplished artists such as Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons, Tyler Glenn of Neon Trees, Andy Grammer, Alex Boye, Ryan Innes, The Strike, Mimi Knowles and more. She is currently working on an EP that will drop sometime this year, showcasing her new sound. Hess may be new to the music scene, but she is a force to be reckoned with.
