Jim McAvoy has been an art instructor for over 25 years. He pursues his passion in photography and body painting outside of his teaching profession. Jim has an honour\'s BA in visual art from the University of Guelph. His studio courses focused on sculpture which still have strong influences light, shadow, and form in his photography. His body painting has been featured in a variety of magazines and related on line sites. Most recently Jim\'s work appeared in a dance number for the BLO hair show, Guelph. He has competed in a number of competitions and was rewarded for his efforts in 2014 at the CHAC body paint competition. He continues to work on several designs and photo shoots a month. Jim is thankful for his wife\'s love and support of the arts. As a fellow artist, they share time painting together, helping to keep the creative process alive.
