Jess Hooks

Jess Hooks, a Florida native, has lived in Georgia since 1996. Many of her pieces reflect the natural beauty of the Floridian coast. Jess studied art at Gordon and Berry College where she received a Bachelor’s in Visual Communications with a primary focus in Graphic Design/Studio Art. Currently, Jess enjoys the free expression that acrylic on canvas gives & the immediacy of color blending. She thrives on pulling out details other people don’t see. Her inspirations come primarily from nature because “…it’s always changing”. “I love the texture and depth of water… the dreamy, fluid color & refraction of light is ever changing & visually exciting to capture!”
