Creations by Apreal Showers

I\'m a Southern California native with an extensive art and design background. I began taking art classes in the 7th grade and went on to receive my BA in Graphic Design in 2002. My past and present projects include: corporate layouts, club flyers, product and logo design, typography, digital presentations, custom fine art, photo retouching, and pyrography (wood burning). Since my recent move to Oakland, California, I had to find the proper outlet to get my mind off of being home sick. So, I dug deep in my closet, found my tools and started BURNING SOME WOOD!! I fell in love with it all over again. Custom requests started getting a bit over whelming so I had to do something about it. Creations by APREAL SHOWERS was developed to be primarily CUSTOM WOOD BURNING. I really enjoy making people\'s visions come to life. I burn, stain, seal and polish every item by hand by myself. It\'s VERY labor intensive and you must have a lot of time on your hands. But, there\'s nothing like the feeling you get when you finish each project. VERY REWARDING! I love to feel the positive energy, and hear the encouraging words from people who see my art.
