All vocal super group Antique Naked Soul is transforming the a cappella word. Led by International Musicologist, Edutainer and Entrepreneur Candice Antique and acclaimed Beatboxer, Emcee and Actor Tommy Soulati Shepherd, Antique Naked Soul takes the listener on a journey through time by creating and remixing Black American liberation music through beatboxing and live looping. Jayme Brown and N'gala McCoy complete the quartet with harmonic melodies.
Antique Naked Soul has shared the stage with many incredible artists including The Roots, Talib Kweli, Yasiin Bey fka. Mos Def, Nneka, Les Nubians, Blackalicious as well as journalist W. Kamau Bell. Their music is the soundtrack to the acclaimed podcast Closer Than They Appear hosted by Carvell Wallace (Pitchfork, GQ, MTV, Al Jazeera). Antique Naked Soul's latest video Burn was featured on Afropunk, KQED and AJ+. They just returned from SXSW and are releasing their sophomore album Diamonds & Bullets soon!
