Visual Art – Denver

I grew up in Destin, Florida but have lived in Colorado for ten years. I went to college in New Orleans and post Katrina earned a scholarship for Art for my study of Monet. I started painting because I was told I couldn’t paint. I was told I didn’t grasp the concept and it would take my years to develop a style. Now it’s 15 years later and I still paint. I learned how to design jewelry from The Bead Shop on Magazine Street in uptown New Orleans where I specialized in wire and taught classes on my abstract cuff bracelets. Hurricane Katrina changed my life forever and New Orleans will always be in my heart. I have taken fine jewelry classes locally through ACC. I am a scholastically trained artist but my favorite medium is acrylics and abstraction is my style. I love wire, as well.
