Hello! My name is Amanda, I am the creator of It's A Small World Cake Toppers. The idea for this business all started last year as my husband and I were planning for our wedding in September 2014. Early in the planning stages, I began on a search for our own wedding cake toppers and wasn't too impressed with what I saw out there in terms of a lack of personalization or just a crazy, unreasonably high price. I understand how expensive each and every little thing you put toward your wedding can be. As many of you out there, I was a bride on a budget but with a very detailed mindset who wanted something super cute to put on top of our cake.
I've always been creative and crafty, so I decided to put my DIY skills to use and made our own cake toppers simply with blank wooden peg dolls and some paint. The materials were simple and easy for me to obtain. As it turns out, they were pretty cute and caught some positive attention from attendants at our wedding. So at the encouragement of others I decided to start out making some sets for friends and family and start building up a portfolio and then an Etsy shop and now here we are! It's A Small World can give some personality and uniqueness to your wedding, a birthday (kids & grown-ups alike), anniversary, or other special occasion.
