Photography – Pittsburgh

Up until June of 2018 I was training in classical ballet, in hopes of becoming a Professional Ballerina. I moved to Pittsburgh alone at 16 to attend Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School. Ballet was always my passion and the only thing I knew. It was terrifying to think of life without ballet - it was a life that I did not want. Or so I thought. This past year I started dipping my toes more into photography. I have always loved taking photos, I would whip my little iPhone out any time I saw anything that caught my eye. In January, my older sister lent me her film camera and that was it. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever stop doing ballet. But, I did. In May, I took my final bow. In June, I felt lost. I had absolutely no idea what direction to take. I have no formal photography training and have been doing it seriously for only a couple months. In the midst of the unknown there was only one thing that felt right and made sense to me. Take photos.
