Performing Art – Charlotte
At 31 years old Tyrone Burston decided to do standup comedy in 2013. Born and raised in Hartford CT. He’s been living in Charlotte NC for the past 7 years. Tyrone enrolled in the Humor Academy on July 29th 2013 and Graduated on September 23rd 2013. Tyrone is widely considered one of the up and coming stars in amateur comedy.
Since graduating Tyrone has hosted five shows and has been a featured act on the “Finally something to do in Concord” showcase, as well as a two time participant in the Charlotte Comedy Zone Fight Night. On December 8th 2013 He auditioned for Don DC Curry’s reality TV show here in Charlotte NC. Don DC Curry told Tyrone after the audition that he really liked his demeanor and that he would be in touch.
Tyrone’s unique outlook on his life regarding his high yellow skin complexion, his white friends, co-workers and family combined with a hilarious, passionate delivery leave crowds hysterically laughing. Audience members have deemed him as very entertaining, a natural, and very funny. Has been told by his only booker “great energy” and knows how to get a crowd going.” Was told by a headliner, “You did an amazing job tonight, you are well on your way.”
